Let me start off by saying that I know that it is currently storming in Cape Town BUUUT in my defence, these pictures were taken 3 weeks ago when it was somewhat sunny. Basically, I wanted to show you my version of rocking a crew jersey-dress. I just love this one from The Fix. It can quite easily be worn in this stormy weather by just adding boots and a coat or fur jacket and a beanie because its versatility allows for that.
About this Look:
Quite plainly and straight-forwardly, I decided to pair this jersey-dress with my favourite lace-ups. I feel this jersey-dress is a statement on its own and can be dressed up or down depending on your personal preferences. On a typical day, I probably wouldn’t wear the dress on its own because I don’t really like wearing short things in general unless I have a coat on to cover me from behind but I felt really comfortable and confident in this particular jersey-dress and it’s caption just resonated with me on so many levels. Sometimes I do tend to get my head stuck in the clouds but I don’t necessarily think that it’s a bad thing because it allows me to dream without limitation.
How To Rock The Jersey Dress:
- Always choose a cut that is flattering to your body-type to enhance your best features.
- Don’t overdo it with accessories. Instead, I always just like to add a bag or statement shoe.
- Make sure that you are comfortable because you are essentially wearing one item of clothing, you want to be as comfortable as can be.
- Choose a jersey dress that is versatile and that you are able to dress up or down. If you are unsure then go for neutral colours.
