I recently collaborated with Eben Photography – a photographer based in Cape Town that specialises in street style photography. It’s a little different from my flamboyant photoshoots but sometimes change can be different. Eben had a certain vision, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me not to crack a smile or my famous ‘fake laugh’. Shooting street style meant exactly that – STREET. These images were taken in clearings and after the odd car would drive around me and shake their head as if I were strutting my stuff in the street aimlessly but all in all, it was fun and is the first of three looks I did with Eben.
About this look:
I’ve had this dungaree for years and I find that dungarees never quite go out of style but maybe just the way it is styled. Gone are the days that you have to wear sneakers with a dungaree or dress ‘street’ in the street. You can quite easily wear heels with a dungaree and make it look chic. Paired with a striped t-shirt, this look is elevated into an urban chic look thats boasts the perfect balance between minimalism and chic. It has become a common trend to to mix different styles and find a common ground between the different styles and it’s no secret that street and chic is a trend that has been hot on the ball and I don’t think it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
